Silk fiber is made of cellular albumen, there are 18 kinds of aminophenol inside the silk fiber which the human body needs, aminophenol inside the silk fiber are almost the same as our human beings skin, therefore the skin fiber enjoys another good reputation as the second skin of human being.

The silk quilt is seamless, and no need to be quilted. It makes person easy to go sleeping, very light, anti-allergic, keeping constant temperature during the whole night

Washing Instructions:

1)  Silk wadding is not suitable for washing and dry-cleaning. If there are blots which must be washed, please clean the local blots carefully, wipe it and then dry it in a ventilated place.

2)  Key ingredient of the quilts covers is protein. So do not use the alkaline detergent or soap and other strong detergent when washing it. Please choose neutral lotion and silk fabric special lotion.

3)  No hot washing, appropriate water temperature should be 30~35℃, no washing with other cloths or quilts of different colors.

4)  Don’t wash by machine. Hand wash is the best. Don‘t expose it to the sun nor dry it in the dryer.

5)  Dry it before storing; eliminate the internal moisture as far as possible. Do not store in damp and hot environment; do not keep it in plastic bags to maintain its permeability; don't use camphor ball and other substances to avoid pollution

Maintenance:

1)  If the new purchased silk quilts have chrysalis, please dry it in a well ventilated place for two hours; if the quilts would not be used temporarily, please store in a dry place and dry it within 6 months, keep it soft and fluffy without any great pressure.

2)  Please use the quilts covers in proper size and keep the covers mouth clean. Only the quilts covers needs washing, wadding can be dried in the air only with 1~2 weeks interval for 3~4 hours each time. Wadding should not be exposed to the sun, clap it by hand to keep soft and fluffy after drying.

Storage:

1)  Air and dry before storage, fold after cool for storage.

2)  Store in a dry ventilated place, not in any damp or unventilated place in case of reducing the silk quality and in order to keep from moisture to produce odors.

3)  Keep fluffy, don't put pressure on it for a long time.

4)  With a natural antimicrobial performance no chemical like camphor ball should be available for storage.

Good morning This rspceos intrigues me. I\'m a 77 yr. old quilt addict who had to be away from the quilting world for several years (due to changing circumstances). However, returning now.I wish I had heard of this method (& been a quilter) over 20 years ago when I lost one of my 30 yr old twin daughters, Alyne, unexpectedly. She left 3 children (grown now w/kids of their own) & I\'ve been in the rspceos of making quilts for each of them. Unfortunately none of her clothes are still around. Alyne\'s son who is now nearly 40 has a family of his own, & they lost a baby 5 days old several years old. If his wife would possibly have any of his baby clothes, I would be interested in trying to make something small like this for them. Maybe a small wall hanging or something small & not too intruding just a memento. I am not very creative to come up w/something on my own, but give me instructions & I can usually follow.But I have a cousin who has A LOT of the clothes of her mother\'s (my aunt) who died over 15 yrs. ago & she just can\'t seem to get over her. She isn\'t a quilter, but perhaps if I could help her w/something like this, it would help her be able to let go.I would like the info on where I can get one of your books for making this quilt. I LOVE the little one from the baby quilt.I have a Grandmother\'s Flower Garden made by my maternal grandma & great grandma they made in 1934 the year my mom was PG w/me. It is of course VERY special to me. I\'m sure it was probably made from scraps that were from her clothes, or even possibly from dresses of my mom & aunt.
